Marché McMillan is run by Chloé and Adam on approximately 2 acres of leased family land.
After both growing up on farms, Chloé pursued a M.Sc. in Renewable Resources and Adam became a Mechanical Engineer.
Together, we are dedicated to growing high quality, environmentally responsible vegetables and flowers.
What do we mean by Environmentally Responsible?
-We use no pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers;
-Our CSA vegetable baskets are packed naked or in compostable packaging;
-We plant cover crops and use re-usable tarps as part of our seeding preparations to minimize the amount of carbon lost from our soil between plantings;
-We plant a wide range of crops to maintain biodiversity for beneficial insects and soil organisms;
-We have no food waste, our surplus is composted back into our garden, or donated to local food banks;
-We combine deliveries with commuting to reduce our fuel consumption.
