Marché McMillan is a market garden in its first year of production. It is located in Wakefield, Quebec, on approximately 2 acres of leased family land.
Plants are grown without the use of herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers.
Since we are a new business, we must demonstrate for a minimum of 15 months, our dedication to organic growing before becoming certified organic. You can read more about this in depth process here.
Marché McMillan is run by Chloé McMillan and Adam Laidlaw with help from family and friends.
After both growing up on farms, Chloé pursued a M.Sc. in Renewable Resources and Adam became a Mechanical Engineer.
The couple has a strong passion for local food and educating the public, especially children, about their food systems. Starting their own farm is a dream come true and they are excited to bring great tasting, environmentally responsible produce to a market near you!
